Although I readily admit that I am not so much digging on this video, the song is pretty fucking sexy.

You nerds do yourself a big, big favor, and check out astronaut Leroy Chiao's guest blogs from this past week, as part of Gizmodo's Space Exploration Week series. All the posts are super interesting, and Chiao's spots are intelligent, insightful, funny, real - totally awesome. I was blown away.
Keep the geek flag flying, and watch the launch of space shuttle Atlantis with the STS-125 crew on Monday May 11 for for a mission devoted to servicing the Hubble space telescope.

WOOT! Go Atlantis (and make way for Endeavour!)

While we're on the subject...
...I missed another one last week: Frankie Manning, Lindy Hop Great.
In the movie Hellzapoppin, 1941
At Lindyfest here in Houston, 2008 (at the age of 93, with Dawn Hampton, age 79 [we went to a dance while on our honeymoon in NYC and she was there, and I nearly wet myself]).
May I be so lucky as to still be dancing when I'm old and gray. :)

From a conversation with my mom, in which she shared gossip from a family gathering this weekend:
• “Aunt W. and I got to play with [baby] at the party. We told everyone, since we can’t get any grandchildren of our own, we have to start stealing other people’s!”
• About my female cousin having a boyfriend: “I’m so glad – I was so scared she’d turn out to be GAY.” [emphasis hers]
Sigh.
