I find it hard to stick to just one book at a time. I like the variety, but it means that it can take me a couple of months to finish a book, because they are all over the house, and I just don't find myself sitting on that particular side of the couch that often, or what have you.
Anyway, these are the books that I consider still on my Active List:
The Curse of the Good Girl, by Rachel Simmons
This is currently under the seat of my car - I got several chapters in, but that was a few weeks ago. I am saving it for when I go get my car detailed. Eventually.
A History of the Wife, by Marilyn Yalom
Dude, I'll fess up that I haven't cracked this one open yet, but it sounds interesting (to me). Also, books are fun to accrue!
The Body Project: An Intimate History of American Girls, by Joan Jacobs Brumberg
(this has been pretty fascinating - this is the one on my nightstand).
The Group, by Mary McCarthy
Picked this one up just today - it made an appearance on a recent episode of Mad Men, so of course I am intrigued.
Also, the current issue of Vanity Fair. I pick it up every month, because I am fascinated by the ads. I consider all the images therein fairly fantastical and unreal, and so I enjoy them more once I've acknowledged the suspension of disbelief. I like purty pictures.
What are you reading lately?

I just finished The Thirteenth Tale, which was gorgeous. Tonight I'll start Look Again, which is some kind of thriller I think. I have a library list that's like 40 books long and once in awhile I just request the next on the list without looking. I like surprises!
*sigh* I really need to read books more...
