Last weekend we went to Ikea to find inexpensive linen storage and new curtains for our bedroom, which led to a discussion of interior decoration in general, which led to John agreeing to let me repaint our horrid yellow office (a shade of his choosing), which led to an investigation of recovering the couch we have in here, which led to further discussion of fabrics, which led to the realization that John can just make us curtains (because they aren't that hard [says I], and he is the sewing maching expert around here, and while we're at it let's do some for the kitchen, too), which led to a few hours spent wandering around fabric stores, which led to now several hours spent perusing vintage fabric sites, only to discover that I apparently have expensive taste ($48/yard??? Oh, HELL, no), and me muttering, "Oh, THAT'S CUTE!" to myself every so often.

I've got the sickness, y'all.

I can't wait to go shopping with you for home/office stuff. We will be able to buy home stuff for me too!!

And my mom and I already have made plans to make pillows/curtains for my new house, so you can join in on our party sometime if you would like.

I always decide I am going to do things myself to save money. Then, I end up spending more, because I do something like buy $48/yard fabric.
